To Paris (Tuesday)

I a) managed to lose app connectivity for two days and b) took pictures on my actual camera, not my phone.  Sooo...delayed posting and no pictures...arg!

Today, we took the bus to Versailles...verrry interesting lunch at Flunch on the highway...the kids got some stinky cheese...Olivia described it as tasting like garbage...and Tyler got a sausage, which had practically identifiable body...or at least tissue...parts in it.

Anyways.  Versailles was spectacular.   We had a guided tour, which made a world of difference from last time, where we moved through the rooms vaguely aware of the general impression,  but lacking in the details about why they were important.

On to Paris, we got to the hotel, then took the metro to the Arc de Triomphe.  Nice views from the top (the stairs were a bit rough after yesterday's bike ride), and we also got to see the ceremony that takes place every day at the tomb of the unknown soldier.

Then to dinner...real French onion soup, chicken in a light curry sauce, and creme brulee.  Finally, we took a nighttime ride on the bateau mouche, got to see all the major sights from the Seine.

To bed!
